Korreth is not born of fire or storm or water. He is born of *craft*. His body is a record of everything that has ever been made by hand — each segment a different mechanism, each gear-tooth a different idea that turned into something real. His spine carries the memory of every workshop that ever stood in Mystmere, every artisan who stayed up past midnight making something that mattered.

His colouring is the colour of iron aged in river-water, of stone pressed into service, of copper gone green with purpose. He does not gleam. He *works*. And the gear at the tip of his tail — that great cog that turns and never stops — is not decoration. It is his heartbeat.

Korreth appears to makers. To those in the middle of something — not at the start, not at the end, but in the long difficult middle where it isn't working yet and they cannot see why. He does not offer answers. He sits beside the workbench and watches. And somehow, in the presence of something that has never stopped working, the next idea comes.
