Long and easy in her body, Aelwyn drapes and curves with the unhurried certainty of something that has never had reason to rush. Her scales run the warm gold of sunlight on stone in the early hour, and white feathered crests rise all along her spine like wings deciding whether to lift. Her face is rounded and gentle, framed by soft white feathered ruffs, with cat-like ears and a single spiralled unicorn horn — quietly luminous, never a weapon, more like an instrument for finding the frequency of a morning.
