Vorreth — The One Who Keeps the Hive

Vorreth is not found — she is encountered. Where Melleth rests among clover and waits, Vorreth moves with purpose through the tall grasses, her long body low to the ground, wings flat and ready. She is not fierce by nature, but she carries herself as one who has learned exactly what she is capable of.

Her colouring is the same deep black and amber yellow as her kin, but worn differently — bolder, higher contrast, spread across a broader frame. The sunflower petal clusters along her back are full and heavy, not delicate tufts but proper blooms. Her face is wide and deliberate, with a jaw marked in yellow that gives her expressions a weight her younger kin does not carry. You know when Vorreth is paying attention.

She appears in the fullness of summer, when the flowers have opened completely and the warmth has nothing left to prove. She is the season at its height: not arriving, not ending, simply here.

Keeper’s Oath: I keep Vorreth as a reminder that confidence is not loudness. She does not announce herself. She simply arrives, already certain.
