Tyrannosaurus rex - Bone Forge Skeleton
Description ▾
Tyrannosaurus rex lived at the very end of the Cretaceous period, roughly 68 to 66 million years ago, across what is now western North America. One of the largest land predators to have ever walked the earth, it combined exceptional senses with bone-crushing jaws capable of generating forces that could shatter the skeleton of its prey. Recent research suggests it may have had a covering of scales across much of its body, with limited proto-feathers retained into adulthood.
This articulated skeleton model is designed by Pinkywings and printed by Mystmere Forge in totem carving stone filament, finished by hand in light and dark earthy browns that evokes preserved bone and carved stone. At 15 cm in length, the model is compact enough for a desk or shelf and detailed enough to reward close attention. Every joint moves freely, so the pose is yours to set.
Part of the Bone Forge collection. Each piece ships with a printed fact sheet covering the species, the science, and the model.
Species information sourced from Wikipedia, Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, Natural History Museum (nhm.ac.uk). Model designed by Pinkywings.
