Spinosaurus — Bone Forge Skeleton
Description ▾
Spinosaurus (Spinosaurus aegyptiacus) lived during the Cenomanian stage of the Late Cretaceous, between 100 and 94 million years ago, in what is now North Africa — Egypt, Morocco, and Algeria. It was a creature unlike any other known dinosaur: equipped with a long, narrow crocodile-like skull adapted for catching fish, a towering neural spine sail running the length of its back, and a deep paddle-shaped tail built for propulsion through water. At an estimated 14 to 18 metres in length, it is the largest carnivorous dinosaur yet described — though its full anatomy remains debated, since the original specimens discovered in Egypt's Bahariya Formation were destroyed when Allied bombing struck a Munich museum in 1944.
This articulated skeleton model is designed by Pinkywings and printed at Mystmere Forge in totem carving stone filament — a warm stone tone with light and dark brown patterning that gives the impression of aged bone. The model is hand-finished and measures 20cm. Every joint moves freely, making it endlessly poseable on shelf or desk.
