Ankylosaurus — Bone Forge Skeleton
Description ▾
Ankylosaurus magniventris lived during the final stage of the Late Cretaceous — the Maastrichtian, between 70 and 66 million years ago — across what is now Montana, Wyoming, and Alberta. It was among the largest herbivores of its era, reaching up to 8 metres in length and weighing as much as 8 tonnes. Its entire back was covered with closely packed bony plates, knobs, and spikes — osteoderms fused directly to the skin — and its skull was itself a heavily armoured structure with backward-pointing horns. At the end of its tail hung a solid mass of fused bone: the iconic club, capable of delivering a blow forceful enough to shatter the leg bones of a predator.
This articulated skeleton model is designed by Pinkywings and printed at Mystmere Forge in totem carving stone filament — a warm stone tone with swirling light and dark brown grain that suits the texture and mass of this armoured giant particularly well. The model is hand-finished and measures 15cm. Every joint moves freely.
